‑269℃ Ultra‑Low Temperature Ultra‑Vacuum Polyimide Insulated Cable

1. Product Overview

Model YH/J-PIPIP-DYT is our-269℃ ultra-low-temperature vacuum-resistant polyimide insulated specialty cable. Built upon the high-performance polyimide (PI) insulation, this wiring solution is engineered to survive harsh combined conditions including space vacuum, cryogenic low temperature and intense radiation.

Boasting a wide operating temperature range, good radiation tolerance and dependable bending performance, this 300‑volt rated cable enables stable low‑voltage power supply and consistent sensor signal transmission. It retains ductility under cryogenic conditions including liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen environments, and offers sound resistance against degradation from alpha and gamma rays. It works as a long‑life wiring solution for aerospace systems, defence‑related hardware and vacuum‑operated medical equipment.

2. Primary Application Fields

ü Military-grade industry: Power supply and sensor signal wiring for equipment working in extreme environments.

ü Aerospace sector: On-board cable systems for satellites and spacecraft under vacuum, cryogenic and radioactive surroundings.

ü Vacuum medical equipment: Internal connection wiring and precise signal transmission for vacuum medical instruments.

ü Special-purpose scenarios: Digital-signal and low-power transmission within liquid-nitrogen, liquid-oxygen ultra-cold surroundings.

4. Manufacturing Process Advantages

² Precision multi-layer wrapping technology for polyimide film, uniform insulation thickness to cut the risk of electrical breakdown.

² Cryogenically-annealed conductor keeps good ductility at-269℃ and prevents brittle fracture under extreme cold.

² Modified sheath material avoids surface pulverization and cracking after long-term ray radiation.

5. FAQs

Q1. Can this cable work continuously at-269℃?

A: Yes. −269℃ is its rated extreme cryogenic working point for long-run service under liquid-gas surroundings. Its short-term temperature ceiling hits +300℃. −196℃ is recommended for routine cryogenic operation.

Q2. Can we solder the cable directly after stripping the polyimide insulation?

A: Yes, direct soldering is feasible. Even though PI insulation has excellent heat resistance, limit soldering exposure time. Prolonged high‑temperature contact will damage insulation. Spot‑soldering is strongly suggested.

Q3. Can this 300V‑rated cable carry heavy‑duty power?

A: Not ideally for heavy‑duty power. This variant prioritizes delicate sensor‑signal and light‑duty low‑voltage power delivery. Contact our engineering team for custom conductor gauge if you require high‑current power transmission.

Q4. Can it be stored in a regular warehouse? Are there any special storage requirements?

A: Yes, you may store it in a dry, shaded ambient‑temperature warehouse. Cryogenic storage is NOT required. Avoid heavy compression or permanent tight coiling to prevent irreversible creases on insulation, which may compromise field performance under extreme conditions.
